As PLT is still in its infancy, compared to most of the other legacies across Australia, our primary focus will be to assists the legatee’s and their families that are left bereaved. Our income is primarily derived from the generous financial support of sworn members and retired members of Tasmania Police. This is complemented by sponsorship, fundraising and other donations.
There is also scope for provision of annual luncheons, welfare grants for severe financial hardship, assistance for families who are dealing with the terminal illness of an immediate family member and with funeral costs. All these costs shall be considered by Board for approval.
